HOLE IN ONE! The Ultimate Golf Dream Just Happened in Spain

Every single time you step onto the tee box of a par 3, no matter your handicap, a tiny voice in the back of your head whispers: "Maybe today."
You play your entire life for that one perfect swing. The odds for an average golfer are roughly 12,500 to 1. But right in the middle of our massive Andalusia golf marathon, the Golf Gods decided it was finally time.
Hildur got her Hole in One.

The Setup: Heavy Winds and Zero Expectations 🌬️
If you follow our Beyond 50 adventures, you know La Hacienda Links is undeniably Hildur’s favorite golf course on earth. The layout is spectacular, and the views of the Mediterranean Sea are breathtaking.
But when we reached the 17th hole, the conditions were brutal.
The wind was howling straight at us. Hildur stepped up to the tee box feeling completely defeated by the gusts before she even took her practice swing. If you watch the video, you can hear her say exactly what every amateur golfer says when the weather turns bad:
"Okay... heavy wind. I probably won't hit the green because it's heavy wind."
She just wanted to survive the hole. She wasn't trying to be a hero.
The Srixon Ball that Defied the Wind
She took her swing. The contact was incredibly pure.
We watched her Srixon ball cut perfectly through the heavy Spanish wind, tracking dead straight toward the pin. From the tee box, it looked amazing, but our eyes completely deceived us. We were 100% convinced the wind had pushed it too far.
"Too long, too long,"
"Yeah, I thought I wouldn't hit the green... okay, it's gone," Hildur replied. We both assumed the ball had simply rolled right off the back edge and into the rough.
We hopped in the buggy and drove up to the 17th green to start the search party. We walked up to the cup just to check... and there it was. Sitting perfectly at the bottom of the hole.
"I'm going to put it in my wallet!"
What happens next in the video is pure, unfiltered joy. When your brain finally processes that you just achieved the ultimate golf dream, it completely short-circuits.
There was screaming. There was jumping. Hildur's hands were physically shaking so hard she could barely reach down to pick the ball out of the cup.
"I made it! Oh my god, I'm going to put it in my wallet!"
Forget buying a fancy mahogany trophy case that lucky Srixon ball was going straight into the wallet! To pull off a miracle shot on the 17th hole of your favorite course, against the wind, with your husband there to catch the entire raw reaction on film... you simply cannot script a better moment in a golfer's life.
(Though let's be honest, Steinn is going to be incredibly jealous for the rest of this 3 week trip as he continues his multi decade hunt for his own ace! )
